The Americas Foundation is meeting with Ms. Marta Esterellas, Inter American Development Bank, IDB,  on October 26, 1999. Ms. Esterellas is the IDB's official directing the funding and other assistance that IDB gives to Hispanic NGOs providing services to the Hispanic community in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area. The purpose of the meeting is to explore critical needs and challenges facing Hispanics in the area. TAF will explore similar issues and offer similar recommendations to the IDB's representative, in its corporate social responsibility to the Hispanic community and to Latin America and Caribbean, as noted above in the meeting with Councilman Evans. This is part of the effort that TAF has been trying to engage IDB since its inception in 1991.
