The President/Founder, Victor Pinzon, of Americas Global Foundation (AGF), announces his 100% support to the U.S. Congress and The Library of Congress’ decision clarifying history that:
 

      1. America was born in the year 1507 and not October 12, 1492

      2. The America’s Birth Certificate is the Martin Waldseemüller’s 1507World Map

Thus, the current year 2007 is “America’s 500 Birthday” 1507-2007

 

The German cartographer Martin Waldseemüller applied the name AMERICA on his 1507 World Map in an area of present-day Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina -the first time that the name America appears on any known document.  Visitors may see the Map at www.loc.gov/rr/geogmap/waldexh.html and zoom in to read the word AMERICA in the bottom left-hand panel of 12 panels. Also below you may see a photo of the map courtesy of ViP/TLQN/ALTEX.

 

The U.S. Congress reportedly provided to The Library of Congress $5 million of the $10 million that The Library paid to purchase the Waldseemüller’s 1507World Map in 2003 to German Prince Waldburg-Wolfegg, whose family owned the only known copy of said Map found in his German castle.
