TAFs Services to Colombians and other
Latin Americans arriving in Miami and other US cities
The Americas Foundation, TAF, offers its offices, relationships, and advocacy
process with the US Congress, the White House, Federal Departments and Agencies, and other
entities to recently arriving Colombians and others in their needs and challenges they
face in the United Sates.
TAF encourages the new arrivals and all others to become involved, join, support
TAFs strategic plan on immigration, diversity understanding and other needs of
recent immigrants. Please communicate with TAF.
TAF believes that, in general, new Colombians and other Latin American immigrants are
bringing valuable assets to strengthen the United States economy, such as:
Human capital, professionalism, entrepreneurship, know-how and
experience
Investments: cash and other resources
Create new jobs
Create new businesses
Contribute to the tax base of various government levels
Motivation and desire to act, contribute to expand local, regional and
national economy
TAF communicates with decision making officials at the various government levels and
encourages them to work in conjunction with TAF, other NGOs and entities to address the
issues of new Hispanic arrivals from Colombia and other countries.
TAF encourages those individuals and entities
interested in this issue to join, support, contribute resources, participate, donate to
help us accomplish this and other goals. Additionally, TAF seeks to continue establishing
strategic alliances with groups around the country and other countries on this and other
issues.
