TAF invited by Caribbean Ambassadors

The President of The Americas Foundation, TAF, was invited by the Chairman of the Caribbean Ambassadors Association, Michael Arneaud, Ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago, to address their Association on Thursday, October 8, 1999, at the Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago.

Mr. Pinzon's presentation includes informing the Ambassadors of TAF's latest accomplishments, its scheduled programs, projects and events, and particularly the status of its ambitious project: "La Casa de las Americas in Washington," LACAW. And, of course to encourage the Ambassadors' active involvement in LACAW in different ways, such as, contributing to stage or sponsor events to promote LACAW and raise funds:

    Concerts
    Receptions
    Art exhibits, auctions
    Children and Youth programs
    Other cultural events
    Promote the unique LACAW's Bricks program: Buy your LACAW brick
    Assist with potential LACAW's Anchor and Sponsor companies and entities

TAF is delighted to recognized five Caribbean Ambassadors whom have two date
accepted to be Honorary Founding Members of "La Casa de las Americas in Washington." They are: Dr. Richard Bernal of Jamaica, Denis Antoine of Grenada, James Murphy of Belize, Sir Arlington Butler of Bahamas, and Guy Pierre of Haiti.

We invite anyone to join us, support LACAW, become involved in any way you want as: sponsors, donors, participants, volunteers, providing a cultural component or otherwise.   Help us help you to strengthen your presence as a significant part of our diverse cultural communities throughout Washington, DC, the nation and our Hemisphere.

Lets start the institutionalization and celebration of our wonderful Hemispheric Heritage Diversity in Washington, DC for everyone's benefit, that of our children, and of our future generations as we prepare to enter the new millennium by contributing to make the dream of "La Casa de las Americas in Washington" a dynamic and beautiful reality.
