    On behalf of The Americas Foundation (TAF) and ALTEX, I am delighted to offer you our One-Stop-Professional-Full Media Events Coverage Services from Washington, DC. TAF is a nonprofit, advocacy, “think-tank”, nonpartisan, NGO, open-to-all organization addressing and offering solutions to some of the major challenges facing Hispanics and other disenfranchised in the United States, and in Latin America/ the Caribbean.

    We have the professional experience, know-how, relationships and professional team to provide you the best, friendly exceptional Media Events Coverage Services from the U.S. Capital -the World’s Capital.

    In the event you are interested we will send one or more persons of our staff to cover any event you desire to get the information for you. The cost of our services are flexible per event attended, based upon a time contract or one event at a time. Please contact us for the details of our fee structure.

The fee may include the cost of the following items:
1. Preparation of a brief event summary report and or press release of event   
2. Transportation to event: taxi or parking/mileage
3. Staff Time: transportation time, event time in attendance, time to prepare brief event summary report and or getting a copy of the press release if made available by event organizers, time sending materials to you
4. Photographs taken at event
5. Preparing photo for internet and sending photo(s) via email to you
6. Cost of mailing, courier or faxing any materials to you

All net proceeds go to The Americas Foundation’s empowering Hispanics in the U.S. the people of Latin America programs and projects such as: AILD, ACTeTWork, Hemispheric Forum TV, LACAW, ADVOCACY, e-Global University; Youth, Speaker Series, TAF's Website, others.  
The following is a sample of some of the events scheduled for a typical day, in this case,  Wednesday, December 19, 2001 in Washington, DC:

Drugs and terrorism forum - 6 p.m. - The Lindesmith Center-Drug Policy Foundation presents a forum, "Perspectives on Drugs and Terrorism: American Policy for a New Age." Ethan Nadelmann, executive director of the Lindesmith Center-Drug Policy Foundation, and Peter Reuter, University of Maryland School of Public Affairs, participate. Location: National Press Club

National Neighborhood Coalition meeting - 12:30 p.m. - The National Neighborhood Coalition holds its annual meeting, featuring an address on "Community Works: Is There More Solidarity After September 11?" The speaker is E.J. Dionne, Washington Post columnist, senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, and political analyst for CNN and National Public Radio. Location: Jesuit Conference

Training partnership announcement - 10:30 a.m. - The Labor Department and the Laborers International Union hold a news conference to announce a new training partnership to develop an anthrax/biohazard training curriculum. John Henshaw, assistant secretary of labor for occupational safety and health, and Terence O'Sullivan, general president of the Laborers International Union, participate. Location: Labor Department

Trade remedies conference - 9:45 a.m. - The American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research and the Korean International Trade Association present a conference, "Trade Remedies: Building in the National Economic Interest." The participants include: Gary Hufbauer, Institute for International Economics; Brice Blonigen, University of Oregon; Brink Lindsey, Cato Institute; and Tom Prusa, Rutgers University. Location: Wohlstetter Conference Center

10 a.m. - Energy and Commerce, commerce, trade, and consumer protection subcommittee holds hearing "Electronic Communications Networks in the Wake of September 11th."  Location: 2322 Rayburn House Office Building
