Hello Mr. Pinzon,

This is Joy Roberson from the International Child Art Foundation. We met at the ICAF event at The Ronald Reagan International Trade Center on New Year's Eve. I hope you remember me. I told you I was interested in Diplomacy and you gave me your card. I was wondering if I could help you in anyway and also if you can help me further pursue my interest in International Relations. If I can be of service to you and The Americas Foundation, please let me know. Thank you!

Joy Roberson

Dear Mr. Pinzon,

I learned of your imaginative initiative to assist Latin American Commercial Attaches, including those of Spain and Portugal by reading the report in the August issue of "South America Report".

I would love to learn more about this initiative and to see if there may be a way for the U.S. Trade and Development Agency to provide assistance. I believe that there may be the potential for mutual benefit here.

I will be out of town until September 16, but perhaps at that time we can schedule a meeting to learn more about each others objectives.

Sincerely,

Albert W. Angulo
Regional Director Latin America and the Caribbean

Dear Amigo:

I too was delighted to meet you and am excited about the possibility of our students being able to do internships with your organization. I have forwarded you e-mail to the International Business program and to our study abroad director as they work more with internships than I do. We certainly appreciate your support of our program and look forward to working with you.

Dear Victor,

Thank you for all you are doing in working with Ambassador Hardy and the Ballet to make our spring Gala a very special event, and I appreciate your keeping me informed.

All the best,

Gordon Dale

Dear Mr. Pinzon,

I met you last June during the Peace Corps celebration on the night the ambassadors spoke. My name is Rena Maez. Currently, I'm serving with the Peace Corps in Romania. Although I still have a year and a half left of my service, I am looking into what I can do after Peace Corps. As a young, motivated Latina, I believe that I can contribute my skills to the people your organization helps. I have faced many obstacles to be where I am at now, and I believe that I can help empower other people with my experience. I have a strong interest in working in South America and with young people.
Since your organization has similar motives, I thought perhaps you could give me some advice in which manner I can most effectively use my skills.

I understand that you are a very busy person, but I can assure you that you will not be wasting your time by responding to me.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Rena Maez
Peace Corps Romania

Dear Victor:

Thanks for the very useful information on this most timely conference. I am quite interested in it and would like top attend although the dates seem somewhat problematic. If you could fax me, an updated version (203 966 2305) I would like to pass it on to a few business colleagues who I knows would be interested.

Regards,

NoelBrown

Mr. Pinzon:

It was a pleasure to meet you yesterday quite randomly in the lobby of the Washington Court hotel. I promised to email you about that hearing about Latin America, but it turns out that I was mistaken. It was actually a members meeting/discussion with Colombian defense minister Ramirez and General Tapias, commander of the Colombian armed forces. I don't believe that it is open to the general public.

Anyway, about the Americas Foundation, I was very inspired by your ideas and want to help, but I'm not entirely sure how. I'd love to be involved with planning those fundraising events like the soccer matches and concerts, that you were referring to, but am willing to help in any way possible.

Hope to see you again,

Josh

Dear Victor:

Long time no see. I don't know if you noticed but we have been running your ad requesting volunteers for the past 4-5 weeks.

I hope you are well and enjoying the heat!

Victor;

Actualmente estoy buscando trabajo.

Sinceramente;

Pablo S. Guerrero

Victor,
I just wanted to send you a quick e-mail to let you know that it was a pleasure meeting you yesterday evening. The information that you shared regarding the Foundation was extremely interesting. I will be speaking with my sisters over the coming days and I will encourage them to contact you.

Hopefully they along with myself can be of some assistance to the Foundation, aiding in fulfilling some of the goals of the Foundation.

Again, it was a pleasure.

Victor-

It was great meeting you during the recent Pantanal conference. I really enjoyed the conference, and learned quite a lot about the area, since my experience has been limited to temperate and arctic wetlands.

It would be my pleasure to help with the graphics for The Americas Foundation website. If you have some ideas, or some hard copy of logos, etc I could work with them or from scratch. I've attached two quick things I did (let me know if you can not read attachments). One is just the logo redone to remove the "jaggies" (technically an "anti-aliased" version which appears smooth), the other an example of an "image map" graphic. Feel free to use either or neither.

Best wishes-

Eric

PS- If you ever get a congressional delegation together to visit the Pantanal and want to bring along an academic....

Dear Mr. Pinzon,

Can the Americas Foundation use more funds? Even if you have grantwriters on staff, I might be able to help. I have been in the Development (fundraising) field for 18 years, including 12 years serving on staff at nonprofits, and six years running my own one-person consulting business. While I have many strengths and skills, I typically write proposals to corporate, foundation, and government prospects on behalf of my nonprofit. I can also undertake other development assignments such as researching prospects; writing direct mail text; creating capital campaign copy; "ghost writing" letters to major individual prospects; and much more.

I'm experienced, creative, effective, and affordable. I can help you on a per-project basis if you are short-handed and existing staff is swamped; if you have a large or special request that requires particular attention; or if you simply wish to benefit from an experienced, outside perspective.

Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

William M. Dingfelder, Ph.D.

Boris Popovic

Hi Victor

I went through your web site and have thought about what you are trying to do. I am interested in becoming involved with your efforts but it is not clear where all the projects sit as of today and where to start.

Where, specifically, do you have a defined need and what will the outcome of this effort be and what resources are needed to make it succeed?

tom abeles

Dear Mr.`Pinzon:

Estimado Amigo Victor:

Atentamente, Alejandro Maldonado.

I am wondering about what internship opportunities you may offer. My name is Lisie Montano, i'm a student at Eugene Lang College [at the New School for social research] and looking to intern during the summer locally [New York City]. I would be interested in being involved with publishing\writing, or (ideally "and") ngo, political, activist work and coordination.
Whatever information you have available would be fantastic. Thank you.

Hi. I am doing a research paper for college and am looking for information on colombians in New Yor City. I have been searching the web for days and I can't find any info. I am looking for info on Colombian family life, effect and patterns of migration on the family, info on gender roles and family structure and family traditions in the United States. I can't seem to find this info anywhere and I was wondering if you could either send me some info or direct me to any web sites that may contain this information. I am doing this research for a graduate course on latino studies at Brooklyn college. Thank You for your time. I would really really appreciate your help. Thanks again.

"Dear Mr. Pinzon:

Thank you for sharing this latest information about TAF. I have been meaning to reply to your earlier message so this gives me an opportunity. I thank you for the invitation to join TAF. For technical reasons, in my current capacity, I am not entirely sure it is appropriate for me to accept your invitation at this time. I do; however, intend to change mycurrent status by the end of the year. In my new role in the private sector, I will be very willing to set aside time for TAF. In order to plan for that, I need to have a clear understanding of the level, nature and time commitment involved.

Thank you again for your invitation and I look forward to your reply.

Regards.

Dear Mr. Pinzon,

We are in full support of your workings with TAF and shall pursue the matters to our fullest capabilities.
