United We Prevail
Latin America Investment Conference in
Washington, DC
LAC Investment Conference Sponsors
The Americas Foundation, TAF, with International Investor, LLP, its strategic
partner, have the pleasure to invite you to attend our upcoming unique Conference
focusing on High Technology and Investment in Latin America this coming November 9th and
10th, 1999 in Washington, DC:
"LATIN AMERICA HIGH-TECH INVESTMENT, TRADE
AND ECONOMIC STRATEGY CONFERENCE"
This day and one-half event will feature key government and business
leaders from Latin America, the U.S. and Europe, institutional investors and prominent
leaders of high-tech companies. The purpose of the conference is to address investment
policy, capital formation, election politics and trade issues impacting Latin America and
the Caribbean in the new millennium.
Latin America's economic overall progress continues, unabated by
temporary setbacks in the region. Average GDP growth surpassed that of Asia in 1998, and
trade growth from the region is outpacing that of the world at large. In addition, the
start-up of many high technology companies and the emergence of an entrepreneurial class
of young executives have escaped the attention of the business media in the US. As a
result of government sponsored privatizations and cross border merger activity, this
process is poised for acceleration and growth. This conference will highlight many of the
players involved and offer unique analysis of those sectors and nations that will prosper
most in the new environment.
We expect about 200 participants representing the international
institutional investment community, high technology companies and many international
organizations, including public and private sector officials, to attend the event.
