Statement of Purpose
Please state your reason for applying for an internship and how this expertise
will enhance your college and or professional experience. Also include the type
of experience you are seeking. (Please type your statement)
The following are observations made by interns about their experiences with
different organizations in Washington, DC:
“During my internship at AGF, I was so glad to become involved in AGF’s “Empowerment -Agents of Change” Internship and Leadership Development Program, as I was asked to assist Mr. Victor Pinzon in the program promotion and planning. These experiences enriched my thinking of promotion, not only of the product itself, but also of the services and benefits the internship program offers. Thus, I gained experience, which relates and complements exactly what I have learned in International Business courses; such as media strategy in advertisement, the service trade sector and the logistic sector.” Ligina Gong, AGF Intern, from China
“As an alumnus of the Foundation, I believe that AGF is heading in the right direction, doing what others have not done yet and trying to accomplish a goal that would alter the lives and minds of many people from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I can proudly say that Americas Global Foundation is committed to training, developing and coaching future leaders through a unique comprehensive empowering program. “ - David Dzidzikashvili, AGF Intern, from Republic of Georgia
"AGF is becoming an instrument
of growth in my life. It is a tool and a vehicle for Latin American countries to
enter effectively into the U.S.A. and global market…. Mr. Pinzon may describe
AGF in terms of its vision, mission, goals and projects; But I say that AGF is
just people helping people!"
Daniel Cardona, Teacher & AGF Intern from Puerto Rico; sponsored by
Puerto Rico's Legislature
"I am very thankful and truly blessed for this summer experience…. I
achieved what I set out to accomplish in this environment and was overjoyed."
Gwendolyn Devins, J C Smith University, NC
"Internships provide invaluable work experience and this internship was no
exception. The projects that I assisted with contained many lessons that I will
take into graduate school and into medicine."
Carl Middleton, Howard University, Washington, DC
"It has been a great honor to have this chance that I would have dreamed
about if I didn't work hard in school and keep good grades." Kisha Miller,
South Carolina State University, Orangeburg, SC
"I learned so much about so many things…this program was one of the
best…Thank you for this wonderful opportunity…" Marilyn Grayned, Norfolk
State University, VA
"This internship continued to help me mature professionally as well as
personally. I would like to thank everyone who contributed for me to have this
unforgettable experience." Timothy Manigault, Benedict College, Columbia,
SC
