Hispano-Latino Market in the Greater Orlando Area:

Orlando is called the World’s Capital of Tourism.
Orange County’s 1996 budget is about $1.5 billion.
Orange County’s population is about 800,000 people.
Hispanics represent about 17% of Orange County’s population, of which more than half are Puerto Rican.
The Hispanic population in the Grater Orlando area is projected to grow to a staggering 83% in the next 10 years, to over 400,000 by the year 2006.

"The integration of the Hispanic community in the 'mainstream' is a major goal. It is said that unlike other areas of the mainland, Central Florida’s Hispanics are putting aside some of their cultural, political, or individual differences and have pledged to work together - not only to improve themselves but to be a vital and energetic part of the community," said Linda Chapman, Orange County Chairman
