"Empowering World's Agents of Change" Internship & Leadership Training and Development (EACILD)
Case for EACILD Support
“This is an exceptional
program designed to contribute to strengthening democracy, civil society and the
rule of law, focusing on the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean.”
U.S.
Congressman Philip Crane
“As a former educator, I
value learning through experience and applaud your efforts to engage young
leaders in education. The unique experience that your program will provide to
young people in our nation’s capitol is certain to be beneficial to them, and
will open doors of grand opportunities. Programs like the Americas Global
Foundation’s Agents of Change will enable enthusiastic students to, in return,
give generously to their respective communities and become agents of change,
indeed.”
U.S.
Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen

"AGF is becoming an
instrument of growth in my life. It is a tool and a vehicle for Latin American
countries to enter effectively into the U.S.A. global market…. Mr. Pinzon may
describe AGF in terms of its vision, mission, goals and projects. But I say that
AGF is just people helping people!"
Daniel Cardona,
Teacher Intern from Puerto
Rico; sponsored by
Puerto Rico's Legislature
“This internship program will give individuals the opportunity to achieve educational, economic and political empowerment. It will also give them the chance to meet people and make relationships that will last a lifetime. The benefits of this program will be felt by the people of their country, as well as by the people of the United States.” U.S. Congressman Tom Davis
The trend of a smaller
number of Latin American students coming to the USA means that the future Latin
American political and private sector leaders will have a smaller personal
relationship with the United States, certainly less than Asians. And vice versa,
a lesser number of future political and private sector leaders from the United
States will have established personal relationships with Latin Americans.
“If we do not have students from those countries in the United States, our youth
is not going to know much from the world south of Miami,” Allan Goodman

These remarks are typical of what we hear from different people and why Americas Global Foundation’s Internship and Leadership Development strives to expand and enhance its implementation. Our “Empowerment –Agents of Change” EACILD program has grown out of years of actual experience wrestling with problems common to minority communities and developing countries, where a lack of education, mentoring and empowerment continue to leave many without hope of a better future. Experience has taught us that in providing international and domestic students, professionals and others, the opportunity to experience a "better way," teach them valuable skills, and provide them logistic support as they return to their communities and countries, they can help change certain unproductive and challenging cultural and societal norms.
Students and others count on us to engage them in meaningful, relevant experiences to show them how the process, protocol and access work in Washington with Congress, White House, and federal agencies, embassies, companies, organizations, and other committed to and exemplify the values of leadership and
community service. Each year our applicant pool will grow, indicating a desire by today's students to learn how to lead and serve as “Empowerment –Agents of Change” in whatever career they choose.
Our constant and intense efforts have and continue to bring growing recognition from members of Congress, White House, Ambassadors and others.
Americas Global Foundation is committed to helping every young person and others who qualify to have the opportunity to learn and benefit from our EACILD program in the world’s capital where the opportunities and resources for a quality experience are both unique and plentiful. An effort of this magnitude and sophistication requires substantial financial support.
