Carlos Villanueva is the
President and founder of
AMME, The Worldwide Association of Mexicans Abroad, a Mexican-American base
organization in USA with 7 International Chapters and Vice-president of the
California Mexican American Chamber of Commerce and of the Hispanic Business
Association of Orange County. He has organized over 90 business meetings,
conferences and events with the aim of establishing links among Hispanic
businessmen and creating new business opportunities for them.
Over the past years he has organized many trade missions by Hispanic businessmen from California, New York, Texas and Illinois to Mexico City, China and Taiwan. Outstanding participation was at the annual meeting of the AMMAC association of Mexico municipal presidents, The US-China Business Forum and the Trade Summits of the Mex-USA Economic Partnership Council.
From 1999 to 2000 Director of the Latino campaign of George W. Bush for President, he carried out over 75 events with Latino businessmen and over 200 with diverse communities of Hispanic voters in different cities around the state, special standouts being those carried out with the Mexican and Central American communities. This made it possible to increase the percentage of the Latino vote, previously 17%, to 31%.
A member of the Hispanic Presidential Gala's financing committee; Villanueva contributed to raising funds for this celebration and was, additionally, the person appointed by the organizing committee to coordinate the receptions for the participating special guests.
In 2002 Mr. Villanueva was the founder of the National Convention of the Mexican-American Associations. National forum for more than 600 organizations who every day work for the advancement of more than 25 millions of Mexicans and Mexicans-Americans living in the U.S.
As President of AMME in 1999 he has started the USA-Mexico-Link project, which was begun with the launching of the www.mexicanosenelexterior.com and the www.LatinoBusinessWorld.com Internet portals, which seeks to promote business deals by Mexican-American corporations in the US, Mexican and overseas markets as well as to be a useful data bank for the 1,200 associations and organizations of Mexicans that exist in the United States and represent over 25 million people. These internet portals received in 2002 the special mention recognition from yahoo as the best community Spanish portals in US
Under his direction the AMME successfully carried out in the year 2002 the First National Tour thru many main cities around the country. That success was made possible that for the first time in the history of the Mexican community in the United States, 601 organizations of Mexican-Americans integrated under one organization looking for its development and consolidation. Mr. Villanueva has also the intellectual creator of the biggest communitarian system for organization's communication in the Spanish world. Thus AMME has received the recognition to its works by President Bush and by the Congresses of USA and Mexico.
In
2001, Carlos Villanueva received the Businessman of the Year award from the
Central American Chamber of Commerce of the United States. In 2002 was nominated
by the Latin Business Association for the Advocate of the Year award and in 2003
he received the Excellency Award from the International Sisters Cities
Organization for his community success programs and his Hispanic accomplishments
in US.

Carlos Villanueva, a former Marista student from the CUM (Centro Universitario
Mexico) graduated in Political Sciences and Public Administration from the Ibero-American
University. He has a Master's in Marketing and International Trade from the
Mexican Autonomous Technological Institute (ITAM. He is also President of C&V
International a Marketing and Communication firm and a Hispanic Political
Consultant.
