Meeting at the office of Senator Barbara Boxer with Mr. Sean Moore, Legislative
Assistant to go over various issues of TAF's AILD and others in California, across the US
and the Western Hemisphere. Obtained great support and valuable procedural and strategic
process guidance for funding AILD.
Thursday, May 3
Invited by the Young Hispanic Republican Association's breakfast at the GOP's
Capitol Hill Club. Speakers: Senator Chuck Hagel and Congress member Lee Terry. Excellent
presentation on certain issues of Hispanics, Mexico and Latin America. Paricularly, the
substantial growth and economic development that Hispanics have injected during the last
decade to areas of Nebraska.
Invited to the White House to cover the meeting of President Bush with visiting President Fox of Mexico.
Invited by the American Jewish Committee to cover their dinner with President Bush and President Fox of Mexico as the keynote speakers at the National Building Museum.
Invited to attend the Taste of The Nation at the Ronald Reagan Building. 80 top Washington restaurants extravaganza.

Invited to celebrate Mexico's 5 de Mayo at the GOP's Capitol Hill Club and at the
Democratic National Committee Club. Met various Senators, Congress members, Hispanic
leaders and Corporate officials
Invited to the National Press Club luncheon
to listen to Ms. Donna L. Brazile, former Campaign Executive Director of former Vice
President Al Gore's 2000 Presidential Campaign.
Monday, April 30
Invited to the presentation of Brazilian Central Bank President, Dr.
Arminio Fraga, at the US Chamber of Commerce on the "Economic Outlook and Reform in
Brazil."
Friday, April 27
Invited to the presentation to Alejandro Toledo, Peruvian Presidential Candidate
at the National Press Club.
Invited by the International Republican Institute to the presentation by Alejandro Toledo, Peruvian Presidential Candidate.
Thursday, April 26
Invited to the Reception at the Library of Congress for the presentation of the
2001 Anuario Hispano. Met with the Comandant of the Marine Corps, Brigadier General
Stephen Johnson and his wife, Mr. Daniel Mulholian, Director of the Congressional Research
Service, John Sepulveda of Freddie Mac and numerous personalities of the Hispanic
community. Mr. Walter Torres and Hugo Medina of TAF joined me.
Met with Mr. Jerry Williamson, Director of DC's Government Department of Housing and Community
Development and Jose Nunez on TAF's AILD and LACAW programs. Mr. Martin Arrizabalaga of
TAF joined me.
Wednesday, April 25
Faith-Based Initiative Luncheon at Library of Congress
Met with US Senator Rick Santorum and US Congressman J.C. Watts and various inter-faith
representatives.
It was of significant interest that there was not a single Hispanic representative among
the leaders or within the leading committee organizing the program. I stated said fact to
each of the leading program individuals. It is not fair for Hispanics to be ignored at the
top decision making level. TAF offered to assist to address that issue to have the proper
Hispanic representation. TAF needs your help and anyone interested to achieve this
critical needed result. Call me or contact me to suggest to you the plan of action.
Met with Ricardo Lagorio, Minister at the Embassy of Argentina, on the AILD program in Argentina.

PBS Reception on Capitol Hill, Room HC-5
Met with US Senators Barbara Mikulski, Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Debbie Stabenow: US House
Representative Connie Morella, Asa Hutchinson. Also Ms. ellen J. Gleberman, Senior Vice
President, Legal, Government Relations and Public Affairs of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of
America.
Monday, April 23
Met with Harold Brazil, Council member of the Government of the District of Columbia and
Chairman of the Economic Development Commission on the issues of AILD and LACAW, their
contributions to the economic development to DC and funding for them. Chairman Brazil
agreed to join our congressional Mission trip to Mexico. Mr. Carl Cooper of TAF joined me.
Wednesday, April 18
Invited to the Reception and Annual Banquet of the Northern Virginia Technology Council.
Listened to the keynote speaker, Dick Cheney, Vice President of the United States.
Met with Dr. Alan merten, president of Georgr Mason University; Ms. Cheri Combs of
Deloitte & Touche; and numerous senior executives of of the high-tech community of
Northern Virginia. Ms. Melissa DeHope of TAF joined me.
Tuesday, April 17
Met with Mr. Navel Waters of the Sports and Entertainment Commission of the Government of
the District of Columbia on the TAF's grant application and AILD and LACAW's contributions
to the economic development to DC.
Monday, April 16
Met with Ms. Susan Linsky of the Office of the Mayor of the District of Columbia on the
TAF's AILD and LACAW substantial projected contributions to the economic development to
DC.
Saturday, April 14
Invited to the inauguration professional game of the Professional Women Soccer League at
the RFK Stadium between the Washington and San Francisco teams. Washington won 1-0.
Attendance over 34,000.
Friday, April 13
Invited to the luncheon at the National Press Club to the launching of the Professional
Women Soccer League. The keynote speaker was Mr. John Hendricks, founder and president of
the Discovery Channels, Discovery Stores.
Wednesday, April 11
Invited to the professional game of the Professional Men Soccer League at the RFK Stadium
between Washington and Kansas City.
Tuesday, April 10
Met with Javier Medina, Minister at the Embassy of Mexico, on the AILD program and our
planned Congressional Mission Trip to Mexico. Mr. Martin Arrizabalaga, Rodolfo Viaques of
TAF joined me.
Thursday, April 5
Invited by the Young Hispanic Republican Association to their breakfast at the
Occidental Grill. Speaker: Mr. Ken Mehlman, Deputy Assistant to the President &
Director of Political Affairs. Met with Mr. Leonard Rodriguez, Political Liaison: Rebeca
Contreras, Presidential Personnel, Boards and Commissions; Abel Guerra, Public Affairs
Liaison and numerous other government officials and Hispanic leaders.
Wednesday, April 4
Met with Mr. Ronald Ruffin, Director of Corporate Diversity at AMTRAK, on various
sponsorship specific opportunities for TAF programs and events.
Tuesday, April 3
Invited to the luncheon with Mr. Mubarak, President of Egypt, at the US Chamber of
Commerce.
Monday, April 2
Invited to The White House to cover the meeting of President Bush and the Hispanic
Congressional Caucus.
Invited to the presentation and luncheon on the issue of Stadiums and corporate Welfare at the CATO Institute.
