It is Not Fair, Let Us Correct it Now
Pancreatic Cancer survivors who decide after extensive research, respecting their medical doctors’ recommendation (Whipple, chemotherapy, radiation, clinical trials, etc…) to go on with comparative / alternative medicine are not able to secure services and medical doctors with alternative medicine expertise, because neither Medicare nor Medicaid covers their professional services. Thus, Pancreatic Cancer and other survivors unable to pay for alternative medicine care are left without proper medical assistance to help them survive and in the process help others.
Therefore, CAMF advocates that the US Congress correct this unjust and unfair situation by passing legislation and the President signing it into law ordering Medicare and Medicaid to cover or pay the comparative and alternative medicine procedures that Pancreatic Cancer and other survivors decide to utilize.
